U-Factor: Measures how well a product prevents heat from escaping. The lower the U-Value, the greater insulating performance.
R-Value: Measures insulating value of window, and is the inverse of the U-Value.
VT Visual Transmittance: Measures how much light comes through a window. High VT allows for greater SHGC solar heat gain.
SHGC Solar Heat Gain Coefficient: Measures how well a window blocks heat caused by sunlight. The lower SHGC value, less solar heat transmitted.*
